Gwalior, July 14, 2026. City residents presented various civic issues to the municipal administration during a public grievance hearing held at the Municipal Corporation headquarters on Tuesday. Municipal Commissioner Sanghpriya issued clear directives during the hearing, emphasizing that public grievances must be resolved seriously, sensitively, and satisfactorily within a stipulated timeframe. He told officials that the public hearing is not merely a formality but an effective means of providing genuine relief to citizens.
Officials from various departments, including Additional Commissioner Pradeep Tomar, were present at the hearing held at the Municipal Corporation headquarters in City Centre.
**Complaints regarding sewage and illegal plotting dominated**
During the hearing, Sukhdev Sharma, a resident of Gubbara Phatak/Jinsi Nala, lodged a complaint regarding illegal plotting in the Maheshpur-Ajaypur Girwai area (Ward 65) and demanded action.
Meanwhile, residents of Guda Kampu (Ward 52, Pritampuram Colony, Lane No. 1) sought a permanent solution to the problems caused by the accumulation of sewage water. Similarly, citizens from Bhagat Singh Nagar and Rachna Nagar (Ward 19) also requested a permanent resolution to long-standing sewage issues.

Municipal Commissioner Sanghpriya ensured the immediate resolution of some complaints during the hearing, while directing officials to investigate and take prompt action on other matters.

More than 42 applications covering various issues—such as drinking water, encroachment, sanitation, electricity, housing, sewer cleaning, and property mutation—were received during the hearing. The Municipal Commissioner instructed officials from the concerned departments to ensure necessary action for the timely resolution of all complaints.
