Gwalior, July 14, 2026. During the weekly public grievance hearing organized by the district administration on Tuesday, citizens' issues were addressed with sensitivity and priority. A total of 130 citizens presented their various grievances to the administration during the hearing held at the Collectorate complex. Collector Smt. Ruchika Chauhan personally invited applicants into her office, listened to their concerns respectfully, and directed the concerned officials to take time-bound and effective action.
Senior district administration officials—including Additional Collector Shri Kumar Satyam, Zila Panchayat CEO Shri Sojan Singh Rawat, and Additional District Magistrate Shri C.B. Prasad—also listened to citizens' grievances and outlined plans for their resolution during the hearing held in the Collectorate auditorium.
The highest number of applications received during the hearing pertained to the Revenue, Municipal Corporation, Electricity, and Police departments. The Collector issued special instructions to all SDMs and Tehsildars for the speedy resolution of land-related matters. Simultaneously, necessary directives were issued to Municipal Corporation officials to ensure the prompt resolution of issues concerning drinking water, sanitation, roads, and other basic amenities within the municipal area.
Demonstrating sensitivity towards the needy, the administration also arranged for free medical treatment for critically ill citizens, providing them with immediate relief.

* Out of these, 70 applications were formally registered.
* 60 applications were forwarded to the concerned departmental officials with necessary remarks for resolution within a stipulated timeframe.

* Immediate arrangements were made for the free medical treatment of needy citizens.
Other district administration officials, including Joint Collector Shri Suresh Kumar Barhadia and SDM (Jhansi Road) Shri Atul Singh, also listened to citizens' grievances during the hearing and directed the relevant departments to take necessary action on their applications. The district administration states that the objective of the public grievance hearing is to ensure the prompt, transparent, and effective resolution of citizens' issues, enabling them to receive the benefits of government schemes and services in a timely manner.
