110 Scouts and Guides Demonstrate Leadership, Discipline, and Service in Morena

Morena. The five-day state-level 'Raj Puraskar' (State Award) assessment camp for Scouts, Guides, Rovers, and Rangers—organized under the aegis of the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Madhya Pradesh—concluded successfully on Saturday. Held at the Divisional Government Gyanoday Higher Secondary School, Maharajpur, the camp saw enthusiastic participation from 110 Scouts, Guides, Rovers, Rangers, and unit leaders from various districts of the state. They showcased exemplary leadership, a spirit of service, discipline, and skills in scouting and guiding. A grand campfire program held during the closing ceremony made the entire event memorable.

A New Dimension to Leadership and the Spirit of National Service Among Youth

Held from July 6 to 10, the camp aimed to assess the participants' scouting and guiding competencies while strengthening their sense of leadership, discipline, self-reliance, and social responsibility. Throughout the camp, practical, written, and oral examinations were conducted on various subjects, including first aid, knotting and lashing, map reading, camping skills, flag etiquette, community living, service activities, and leadership capabilities. These examinations facilitated a comprehensive assessment of their knowledge, skills, and personalities.

Public Representatives Boost Morale at the Closing Ceremony

The Chief Guest at the closing ceremony was Smt. Sharda Solanki, Mayor of Morena Municipal Corporation, while the event was presided over by Shri Kamlesh Kumar Bhargava, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Morena District Panchayat. Shri O.P. Gupta, State Vice-President of Bharat Scouts and Guides, Madhya Pradesh, attended as the special guest.

Chief Guest Smt. Sharda Solanki stated that the Scout-Guide movement is a powerful medium for fostering discipline, service, leadership, and patriotism among the youth. She called upon the participants to play an active role in social service and nation-building. Presiding over the event, Shri Kamlesh Kumar Bhargava stated that such training camps play a vital role in honing the personality, sense of social responsibility, and leadership qualities of the youth, thereby molding them into dedicated and responsible citizens.
