England had reached 61 runs without losing a wicket, but Indian bowlers staged a remarkable comeback, claiming five wickets for just 19 runs. Facing a difficult situation, Joe Root and Liam Dawson shared a crucial 121-run partnership for the sixth wicket, guiding the team to a respectable total.
Root batted with composure to score 76 runs off 76 balls, while Dawson played a useful innings of 68 runs.
