Indore, July 14, 2026. The agitation by students—who have been staging a sit-in at Tantya Bhil Square for the past 14 days over a 23-point list of demands, including the NEET paper leak issue—intensified on Tuesday. A large number of students held a rally, reached the Collectorate, and began a sit-in on the road in front of the main gate. During the hours-long protest, the students raised slogans vigorously and voiced their opposition against the administration regarding their demands.
The protesting students state that no concrete action has been taken on their demands so far. Upon failing to secure a dialogue with administrative officials, the agitating students began shaving their heads as a mark of protest. They have declared that the movement will continue until a positive decision is reached regarding all their demands.
The students' key demands include strict action against those responsible for the NEET paper leak, transparency in the examination process, protection of student interests, and various other academic and administrative reforms, totaling 23 points.
**Support from Cockroach Janata Party**
The student movement has also received support from the Cockroach Janata Party. According to the protesters, party chief Abhijit Deepke interacted with the students via video call to inquire about their well-being and express support for the movement. Party supporters also participated in the rally and protest.
The protesting students have indicated that if a decision regarding their demands is not taken soon, the movement will be expanded further.
